Well, followers of mine...

…I am beginning a seven-week fast of A-L-L media for my Theology class this semester. That’s right. Seven weeks with no TV, no Internet, no cell phone, and no music. I’m really excited to see what I learn with this, but it also means I’m gonna be away for seven weeks.

And this is a fast, not a break, so I will not be posting at all—no slip-ups or breaks from my break!

I will see you all in seven weeks, and I’ll tell you how it went! Happy Tumbling while I’m away, and good-bye for seven weeks!

=)

“The capacity to be alone is the capacity to love. It may look paradoxical to you, but it is not. It is an existential truth: only those people who are capable of being alone are capable of love, of sharing, of going into the deepest core of the other person - without possessing the other, without becoming dependent on the other, without reducing the other to a thing, and without becoming addicted to the other. They allow the other absolute freedom, because they know that if the other leaves, they will be as happy as they are now. Their happiness cannot be taken by the other, because it is not given by the other.” —Osho, Being In Love (via oceanofmind)

Thing I've Done Over Break:

Friday-Saturday-Sunday:

  • Um. Nothing? I don’t really remember.
  • Wait! I watched Heroes. That’s productive! =)

Monday:

  • Planned out my week. Read, like…one thing.
  • Did nothing, yet again.

Tuesday:

  • Babysat Audra and Evy until 6:00 at night, pretty much. Exhausting.
  • Proceeded to avoid my homework.
  • Watched some more Heroes instead.

Wednesday:

  • Got a perm.
  • Got diagnose with TMJ by a strange Dr. named Pepper. I’m supposed to like…do stuff different with my jaw. Yep.
  • Tried to read some homework in between appointments. Failed.
  • Watched an episode of Heroes. Start to really like Sylar and Elle and get annoyed with freaking Peter. He’s besmirching the name of Peter by annoying me, stupid Peter Petrelli.

Thursday:

  • Went to my Neurology appointment to tell them I like my meds because they keep me awake. Prolly give me insomnia, but I’d rather that than narcolepsy, yep-yep.
  • Went to Wendy’s.
  • My Dad bought one (1) new windshield wiper. It didn’t match the other. Then our the windshield wipers stopped working (in the middle of a highway bridge in the middle of the huge rainstorm) because our car got too wet or something and the electricity short circuited.
  • Made it to a Sunoco before our van just…stopped working altogether, and where I watched my mom (who was supposed to pick me up so I could get home too many hours later) pass us three times without realizing it as I listened to the crazy Sunoco worker jabber on and on like a mad person.
  • Did some homework.

Friday:

  • First day with no home in the morning! Wooooooot—house to myself YEAH!
  • Accomplished a decent amount of homework, actually.
  • Surprise! Jason’s coming over at 4:30, not around 6-ish like usual!
  • Surprise! We’re going to Hannah’s Musical tongiht! And eating out! And you can’t ever accomplish homework at home, we won’t let you!

Saturday:

  • Wasted my morning playing a game on my computer. Oops.
  • Did some more homework.
  • Wasted more time doing Lord knows what.
  • Went shopping with mom for too much Bake Sale food and some candy to sell at school.
  • Made two cakes, 22 cupcakes, and 12 too-gooey-to-sell brownies.
  • Skipped church to make two more cakes, two pies, some icing, crumb topping, etc.
  • Iced every cake. Made myself so sick of icing I can’t really eat it anymore.
  • Helped make everyone think the Kuntz Family was too stressed out to socialize with because we all entered the church annoyed with each other. Proceeded to set up the Bake Sale table, only to move tables later and constantly get shushed by my mother, scolded by both my sisters, grunted at by my brother, and laughed at by my father. Fun-fun.
  • Sat by myself for pretty much all of 2-6 pm. Had a hotdog, though. I guess food’s important to eat.
  • Came back and played with Audra and Evy for a while. Audra has decided it is her mission in life to lick everything. Even money I’m counting. Yep.
  • Figured out I somehow made around $500.00 today (Yay, God! Go, God, Go!)
  • Wrote Thank You notes so my insane mother can mail them tomorrow so everyone can get them tomorrow, because that’s important.
  • Wrote this as I contemplated staying up all night for no reason.

Yeah, I feel productive. Sort of. I have a paper to write for Cherry’s class that I meant to write, like…Monday. It’s due Tuesday. Oops.

And, no. I don’t think anyone will actually read all that. I just felt like writing it because I don’t want to sleep.

Buut…good night, I suppose.

There’s nothing else to do, really.

Yay, sleep.

Why is it that I find myself staying up to all hours of the night when I'm home, where my mom yells at me for doing exactly that, but at school I can't wait to go to sleep?
